White when fresh, Violet when spent

Our indicator-grade soda lime changes colour as it absorbs CO₂. Scroll down and watch the granules shift from fresh white to exhausted violet — the at-a-glance signal that tells your team exactly when to replace the bed.

Soda lime granules changing colour as they absorb CO₂
Saturation 0%
1

Fresh & ready

Straight from a sealed pack, the granules are bright white — full CO₂-absorption capacity, ready for the circuit.

2

Absorbing CO₂

As exhaled gas passes through, calcium and sodium hydroxides lock carbon dioxide away as carbonate — the bed begins to change.

3

Nearing capacity

The colour deepens toward violet across the bed — a clear, at-a-glance warning that it's time to plan a change.

4

Spent — replace now

Full violet means the granules are exhausted. Swap the bed before any CO₂ breaks through. Simple, visible, safe.

Industries we serve

From operating theatres to ocean floors

The same dependable absorbent, keeping air safe across every sealed environment on earth.

Anaesthesia in the operating theatre
01 · Healthcare

Safe anaesthesia & CO₂ scrubbing

In operating rooms, ICUs and research institutes, our soda lime removes CO₂ from exhaled gases so anaesthesia circuits recirculate safely.

Coal mine
02 · Mining & tunnelling

Breathable air underground

In mine-rescue apparatus and sealed underground environments, our absorbent sustains a safe, breathable atmosphere.

Commercial diver underwater
03 · Diving & Defence

Closed-circuit life support

Commercial and defence divers depend on soda lime in rebreathers to scrub CO₂ and extend safe time underwater.

Within India & beyond

Soda lime, answered

The questions procurement and clinical teams ask us most — straight answers.

Soda lime is a white, odourless, hygroscopic granular material. It generally has a long shelf life if stored properly in sealed containers under cool, dry conditions. Consult the manufacturer's specifications for specifics.
Because it absorbs and removes CO₂, soda lime is used:
  • during anaesthesia in hospitals;
  • to maintain a breathable atmosphere for commercial and defence divers;
  • in underground mining and tunnelling.
Store soda lime in a cool, dry place in well-sealed containers. Protect it from moisture, as soda lime readily absorbs moisture and can lose effectiveness.
Decades of experience give us a real edge: in-depth knowledge of production and application; strict quality control; a steady supply; and technical guidance on selecting the right grade.
Soda lime is moderately alkaline. Always wear gloves, safety glasses and a dust mask. Avoid direct contact; if it occurs, flush the affected area thoroughly with water.
